That big Dark Souls trilogy box set that was announced earlier today isn't coming to the West. Dark Souls Remastered for Switch was announced during the January 2018 Nintendo Direct. Don't worry, you'll still be able to get your hands on Dark Souls Remastered, but the collectors out there will either need to import or learn to live without. These remasters will include not only updated graphics but "rebuilt lighting and SFX similar to Dark Souls 3". Adding motion-controlled combat to Dark Souls could be a huge selling point for the game if From Software chose to add that feature to the remastered edition of the game. Bandai Namco did not say what the regular Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions' performance would be like, but did reveal that the Nintendo Switch version will be running on 1080p resolution at 30fps while docked.

Dark Souls was originally released with an atrocious state on PC however thanks to mods, the game ended up being a huge success with more than 2 million copies sold so far. The US version of the Bandai Namco Store initially included information on a "50% loyalty discount reward for PC upgrades on Steam", namely for those that own the Prepare to Die Edition of the original game.
