Arsene Wenger opens up about Arsenal star's potential departure

The panel discuss the future of Alexis Sanchez and whether Manchester United will be able to trump rivals Manchester City to the signature of the Arsenal forward.

Malcom has been mooted as a possible contender to fill that role, but Wenger insists no move has been made for the highly-rated Brazilian.

"It looks like Sanchez will not extend his contract, but we want to keep Jack and if we have an opportunity maybe to keep Ozil, the rebuild will be less deep than if all three left". And Wenger believes the recent huge hike in transfer fees increases the likelihood of players running down their contracts.

"At the general level what I can say is myself and the Manchester United board, the owners, we don't believe a lot in the January market, we don't believe in signing a player just to sign a player, just to do something, we don't believe in that".
