Nigerian Club Footballers Involved in Auto Crash

Kwara United goalkeeper, Chidiebere Eze has confirmed that they are fine and that they have returned to Ilorin after cheating death in an accident on Wednesday along Lagos/Ibadan Expressway.

The club has also expressed gratitude to God and those who have shown concern since the news broke.

Sources said the driver of the bus was trying to avoid a speeding vehicle from the other end of the road when the accident occurred.

The team, which took part in the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super Four that held in Lagos, was returning to Ilorin when the accident occurred along Ojo road on the Ibadan-Ilorin axis.

From pictures circulating on social media, the Kwara United's team bus has been badly damaged from the crash.

Bibire said the remaining officials and players, who did not sustain injuries, were later conveyed by another vehicle to Ilorin.

He said that the degree of the accident was high but God saved all the lives involved.
