MINI Facelift Strengthens Appeal Of The British Icon

First off, there's the new Mini logo.

Inside, the three-spoke steering wheel has been redesigned with expanded multifunction controls, while a 6.5-inch multimedia system is standard, with a touchscreen version available alongside the optional satellite navigation.

There's also a new dual-clutch seven-speed automatic transmission available on the Mini One, Cooper, Cooper S and Cooper D, which offers improved shift times and quicker acceleration. The design team also gave the new LED taillights a unique touch, with a Union Jack flag pattern in the lenses, a nifty idea first floated on the John Cooper Works GP Mini concept in 2017.

The line-up of optionally available 17-inch alloy wheels has grown to include "Roulette Spoke", "Propeller Spoke" and "Rail Spoke" bi-colour designs.

The front end gains restyled headlights, with the halogen units accented by a black panel, while their optional bi-LED counterparts feature LED daytime running lights and indicators that are now completely circular.

The color of the backlighting matches the ambient lighting selected by the driver.

Wireless charging for mobile phones is also available as an option, located within the centre armrest storage compartment. The Mini Yours Customization program that allows owners to special order parts of their cars with designs, including names, created by the owner.

The optional rear LED tail lamps reveal the Union Jack when they are illuminated. It's a quirky, smart design that emphasizes Mini's heritage. They can be installed by the dealer or the auto owner and can be swapped out whenever the mood strikes or if the vehicle gets sold.
