With the new Rs. 399 pack, Airtel is now offering 1GB data per day, unlimited voice calls - local, STD, and roaming, 100 SMSs per day for all handset users. Similarly, its Rs. 509 pack now offers 91-day validity, up from the previous 84 days. New BSNL data users are eligible for 2GB of free data under this offer. Plan 398 of Jio offers 105GB data for 70 days.

As per BSNL, the new promotional offer is based on the Digital India initiative of the government and is all set to help subscribers in experiencing the Internet for the first time. Airtel offers a prepaid plan that costs Rs 349 (as good as Rs 350) per billing cycle. However, after 30 days, subscribers have to buy further data packs or plans to enjoy mobile internet from BSNL. The former comes with a validity of 54 days, while the latter comes with 81 days of validity.
