Warner Bros. to Shake Up DC Films in Wake of Justice League

The film was meant to be the studio's answer to Marvel's The Avengers, but as a comparable superhero pic Justice League has been grossing far less at the box office than WB had hoped, and reviews have been unkind.

As for Zack Snyder, there are no plans for him to direct another DC movie (even Time Warner execs are said to be unhappy with him), but he's still a producer or executive producer on several superhero titles such as Wonder Woman 2 and Aquaman, and since he still has a production deal with Warners, he could still direct other films for the studio, including The Last Photograph.

Johns is expected to continue serving as DC Entertainment's chief creative officer, but his contributions to the films may evolve and "could be more advisory in nature" according to Variety. Though the over-$800-million worldwide gross for "Batman v Superman" cushioned the blow for Warner Bros., Variety reported that the studio was concerned by the dark tone of the "Justice League" script and was hoping for something lighter. Berg and Johns may be hardcore fanboys who know these DC properties inside and out, but sometimes that can pose a problem, since these films are trying to appeal to all audiences, not just fans of the comics.

Marlins' Dee Gordon traded to Mariners for 3 prospects
Assuming Seattle takes on Gordon's entire contract, Miami has chopped their projected 2018 payroll to just over $120 million. He is the only active player to bat at least.300 while stealing at least 50 bases in multiple seasons (2015 and 2017).

DISH Network Corp (DISH) Shares Sold by American International Group Inc
The company has a market cap of $24,060.00, a P/E ratio of 18.50, a price-to-earnings-growth ratio of 2.46 and a beta of 1.09. The company reported $0.76 earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter, topping analysts' consensus estimates of $0.67 by $0.09.

Ashes 2017: Exciting to play as an allrounder again, says Mitchell Marsh
The oft-maligned Marsh has been mostly underwhelming with bat and ball in 21 Tests dating back to 2014. I'm here to play and I'm here to do my best for the team. "[Marsh] has got a Test average of 21".

Warner Bros. Picture Group President Toby Emmerich said of Berg's departure, "This is something that Jon approached me about six months ago, and he expressed his goal was to ultimately be a producer at the studio".

Variety reports DCEU co-runner Jon Berg will step away from his duties and will now be a producer for Warner Bros. To this day, Justice League's domestic haul is still behind the opening weekend of Marvel's The Avengers.

Indeed, Emmerich is said to be mulling over the idea of uprooting the DC Films structure altogether so that it's integrated into the main Warner Bros. arm, as opposed to keeping it in a separate building. Affleck, however, is not expected to star in director Matt Reeves' upcoming Batman feature film, which will reportedly have all-new talent. The trade also said that executives were concerned with the choice of doing a CGI Steppenwolf as the villain. The studio is "still developing a standalone Flash feature". Although it should be pointed out that Batman v Superman hit theaters mere weeks before Justice League began filming, so it's not like Warner Bros.re-hired Snyder after all the BvS backlash erupted-he was already deep into Justice League at that time.
