The case relates to the rape and murder of housemaid Anjali in 2006.

The judgement was pronounced on Friday and it was ninth case of 16 serial killings in the Nithari killings.

Both are to be taken in judicial custody, he added.

The CBI had lodged an FIR against Pandher and Koli in 2006 and they were booked for committing gruesome crimes under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) including sections 302, 376, 364, 201 and 120 (B). He has already been sentenced to death in two cases earlier.

The family of 25-year-old Anjali had filed a missing person complaint after she failed to return home on October 12, 2006. This was the strongest evidence in the case to prove him guilty, added lawyer Sharma. DNA sample from one of the skulls matched with that of Anjali's mother and brother.

The case had hit the headlines for its grotesqueness as it was exposed as a sordid tale of kidnappings, rapes, murders of children and also cannibalism involving Pandher and Koli.
