Light snow, rain chances continue overnight

By the afternoon, all of the rain will be gone and we will still have mostly cloudy skies. For most of us, this will be a cold rain. East of our viewing area will have better chances to see snow, and possibly accumulation. However, warm ground temperatures and light precipitation rates in this area should limit snow accumulations to nothing more than a dusting. Daytime highs will only reach the mid 40s. The greatest chance of wintry weather comes along and north of a line from Lafayette to Prattville to Camden - places like Demopolis, Selma, Marion, Billingsley, Clanton, Rockford and Alex City. The air is too dry over the northern third of the state for any meaningful precipitation tomorrow, and the low levels will be too warm for snow tomorrow across southeast Alabama. It should come through Monday night and will not bring any rain. At the same time we will still have scattered showers.

Sunshine returns. Some temperatures may drop to the upper 20s on the Northshore with low to mid 30s on the Southshore. It will be a welcoming sight after all of the rain, and cloudiness we have had recently.
