The Huawei Nova 2i was the first Huawei Nova-branded smartphone to sport an 18:9 display, and the Huawei Nova 2s continues in a similar fashion, as the phone comes with a 6-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) display.

Hot on the heels of rumours that Huawei's next-generation flagship smartphone, dubbed the "Huawei P11", could come with insane camera specifications, a new report on Thursday revealed some surprising details about the phone's design. As discovered, the firmware which applied to an unknown device with a physical resolution of 2160x1080, had system files - charging images, loading screens etc. - coming in at a higher 2244x1080.

The notch is perhaps the most controversial feature on the iPhone X. It's a design kink that some think detracts from the overall finish of the handset, while others believe it to be necessary in order to accommodate a bigger display. The discrepancy could be because of the notch. The smartphone is expected to be announced during Mobile World Congress 2018. It is possible that Huawei is testing this software on a current device to see how it would look on the completed phone. The phone will run on Android 8.0 Oreo with a slightly upgraded version of EMUI 8.0.1. The handset also seems to support Huawei's Easy Projection which indicates that it will also feature USB 3.1 port.
