The "Tell Me You Love Me" singer took the magazine to task Wednesday night (December 6) for what she saw as total hypocrisy among its choices for Person of the Year picks.

Demi Lovato is speaking out against Time magazine for honoring the silence breakers of the #MeToo movement right alongside Donald Trump, who was a runner up in the outlet's annual "Person of the Year", and who has several accusations of sexual misconduct against him.

Demi fired off a series of tweets that began by saying, "Time mag highlights courageous women coming forward against sexual assault on the cover but names a man with sexual assault allegations against him runner up to person of the year".

After posting her tweets, Lovato was praised by man users who shared the same sentiment as her.

The singer also argued that because the cover of the magazine celebrates something positive, Time should have carried the theme throughout the issue. The former Disney darling concluded her rant by giving advice to the magazine, "To be named POTY by @TIME it should be for doing something positive or courageous LIKE the women on the cover". It is annoying that it is just about the impact on the news, ' Demi added.
