There have been rumors for some time that a new Tomb Raider is in development; however, Square Enix had not commented on it.

The last game in the Tomb Raider series, Rise of the Tomb Raider, released in 2015 for Xbox One and PC before making it's way to PlayStation 4 a year later.

Previous leaks have suggested that a third game from Crystal Dynamics is on the way, dubbed Shadow of the Tomb Raider (though that could be a working title). "Honestly, we wish we could share it with you right now, but were taking a new approach this time". In other words, gamers will be able to get their hands soon after its official reveal.
