We'll probably hear (and see) more of those skins over the weekend, so sit tight for that. He added that holiday skins are also on the way for "two of our favorite Junkers" - i.e., Junkrat and Roadhog.

Overwatch's seasonal Winter Wonderland event returns next week on December 12th, and Blizzard is breaking down what players can expect from this year's festivities in a developer update video. So this is something you can do for now to mix up your Overwatch action - and then you can start counting down the days until the next Winter Wonderland event. Skins from a year ago will return, as they have in past events, and new items will join them. King's Row and Hanamura you might remember from previous updates while Black Forest is completely new.

The centerpiece of 2017's Winter Wonderland event is a wild new Arcade mode called Mei's Yeti Hunt, which Kaplan said was the result of Blizzard wanting to "try something different and fun". Director Jeff Kaplan likens the mode to a boss fight, except one player plays Winston, not an AI. Mei's Snowball Offensive game mode will move to the Black Forest, but be available on Ecopoint: Antarctica still, too. Essentially, it boils down to 5 Mei players taking on resident big lad Winston, who also happens to be player controlled.

Blizzard is also introducing Mei's Yeti Hunt. Once enough Meis-or Winston-are killed, the game is over. He said the point is "just to be fun and light and refreshing for a short period of time", rather than a serious, truly competitive mode that will be used in esports. Like Overwatch's other seasonal events, the second helping of Winter Wonderland will be a healthy mix of new and old.
