Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle players are getting a free Versus mode tomorrow

Versus Mode is coming to Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle tomorrow as free DLC.

ABOUT: Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is the story of an unexpected encounter between the most famous video game character, Mario, and the irreverent and chaotic Rabbids as they join forces to restore the Mushroom Kingdom, which has been torn apart by a mysterious vortex. Gotta love regional lockouts.

Players can select a party of three heroes from the game's roster of eight, and apply one of three different skill and statistic load-outs.

Matches can be customized greatly, allowing players to add a seven or ten turn limit, set time limits per turn and even enable the Showtime option, which strengthens powerups and opens pipes and trampolines around the map once the match nears the last few turns. As opposed to the main game's movement and attack structure, the new mode introduces a ticket-based system in which your team can collectively only move, attack, or use an ability three times in a turn.

This surprise mode is separate from the season pass and will be available for free for all owners of the game tomorrow, December 8, 2017.
