Mata started the season brightly under Jose Mourinho but he has since slipped down the pecking order.

Going the other way, Corriere dello Sport report Manchester United have mentioned the name of Juan Mata, although Inter aren't all that thrilled at the thought, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan the Italian side's preferred option.

However, they will be absolutely willing to discuss the departure of Joao Mario, if Man United are ready to offer Armenian global Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who has recently been ousted from the team by Mourinho.
