PWAs again aim to bring a few app-like features to websites, giving them a full-screen interface, an "installable" app icon, push notifications, and offline capabilities.

Google is officially done with Chrome Apps for desktops: it's now removed the Apps section from the Chrome Web Store, leaving only Extensions and Themes available for you to customize your browser with from here on out. The company explained that it chose to shutter apps from the Chrome browser simply because not a lot of people were actually using them. Google announced this via a blog post on 19th August 2016 and now have updated the blog post on 5th December 2017, making the change live from today. There's still no word on removing Chrome Apps from Chrome OS, though. Google hasn't announced anything yet for Chrome OS, but it's likely that Chrome apps might go away, too. Well, almost a year-and-half later Google has completed the job and now, Chrome browser will not be able to access or install any apps from the store. Google has started sending out emails to Chrome app developers telling them that Chrome Apps are deprecated, and while previously installed apps still work, the functionality will be stripped out of Chrome in Q1 2018. Developers can continue to build Chrome apps (or Android apps) for Chrome OS.

Chrome Remote Desktop is of course Google's remote admin tool, allowing you to remotely access your, or someone else's computer, tablet or phone.
