Thankfully, Fergie managed to get clean.

In an interview with iNews, the successful singer opened up about her addiction to crystal meth before joining the Black Eyed Peas.

"At my lowest point, I was [suffering from] chemically induced psychosis and dementia", she revealed. The "M.I.L.F.$" singer has been candid about her substance abuse in the past, but as she revealed to iNews, it got a lot scarier than many people realize.

During the worst of it, the singer thought the Central Intelligence Agency and SWAT teams were following her, and she tried to hide in a church. Believing that a SWAT team was about to apprehend her, she bolted from the house of worship. I remember thinking if I walk outside, and the SWAT team's out there, I was right all along. She called this moment "freeing".

Fergie recounted a similar story before, but it loses no impact in the retelling. She was a part of their biggest hits including "Where Is The Love?' and 'I Gotta Feeling", but had not done anything with the band since their live shows in the summer of 2015. She continued: "The drugs thing, it was a hell of a lot of fun. until it wasn't".
