The Canadian tennis player took to her official Twitter handle to post a picture of herself relaxing on the couch with John Goehrke (see below).

With the Atlanta Falcons leading the New England Patriots 21-3 late in the game, Bouchard wanted to let everyone know she predicted a Falcons victory.

Goehrke then replied, saying: "If Patriots win, we go on a date?".

Long story short, quarterback Tom Brady did what only Tom Brady can and the Pats won 34-28.

Fast forward a couple of weeks and the pair were sitting courtside at an National Basketball Association game in NY to see the Brooklyn Nets play the Milwaukee Bucks. Bouchard even said she would consider a second date.

M&S launch stoneless avocados - and says they could prevent 'avocado hand'
The avocado hails from an unpollinated avocado blossom, meaning it develops without a seed which, in turn, stops the growth. But this year M&S has sourced a small number of the avocados exclusively. "My top tip is to try them deep fried!"

Square Enix confirms new Tomb Raider in development
There have been rumors for some time that a new Tomb Raider is in development; however, Square Enix had not commented on it. Publisher Square Enix took to Twitter to announce that a new Tomb Raider game is in the works.

Well, it may have taken all the way until December but Goehrke has finally worked his way back into the most important part of many athletes' lives these days - their social channels.

"I thought maybe there was a chance she would respond, but I thought there was no chance she'd actually agree to it", Goehrke told The Star earlier this year.

But the world loves an underdog, so we're rooting for Goehrke in this one. "@punslayintwoods #superbowltwitterdate", the 23-year-old captioned the image to her 1.54 million followers.

"I'll fly him out (to a tournament), but besides that he has to be the gentleman and, you know, organise a fun date night".

"She came down (from the hotel) and we met, I gave her a hug and said hi and gave the gift I had brought and then we walked out to the auto and left for the game", he said. It's complete luck, I'm so lucky. "It was cool to meet him".
