Williams and Austin Rivers each had 23 points to lead the Clippers. The second came on a jump shot from the baseline.

Los Angeles Clippers forward Montrezl Harrell, left, shoots under pressure as Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns defends during the first half of an NBA basketball game on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017, in Los Angeles.

With Gibson-who finished with 16 points and 14 boards-and Towns doing work in the paint, Wiggins and Butler had a number of openings to exploit from mid-range or when attacking the basket. They had lost five of seven games before winning Sunday, and then lost to a Memphis Grizzlies team Monday that was in the midst of an 11-game losing streak.

"Once I get back, I want to help any way I can".

NOTES: Clippers C DeAndre Jordan, one of only five players to average at least 11 rebounds and two blocks per game against the Timberwolves since the start of the 1985-86 season, had 21 rebounds but did not record a block against Minnesota on Wednesday.

Gallinari has been on the sidelines since November 5 due to a strained left glute, and Teodosić hasn't played since he sustained a plantar fascia injury in his left foot during the Clippers' second game of the season. He shot a disappointing 35.5 percent, including 26 percent from 3-point range, in nine games before he was sidelined. Starting guard Patrick Beverley has already been ruled out of the season due to a right knee injury, and star forward Blake Griffin is expected to miss up to eight weeks due to a sprained medial collateral ligament (MCL) in his left knee.

Clippers: G Milos Teodosic (plantar fascia) remained out, but coach Doc Rivers said he is close to returning. That being said, Gallinari is fresh off a lengthy absence, so it's unclear if he'll immediately reclaim a role in the top unit and there's a good chance he sees his minutes restricted a bit to ease him back into the swing of things.
