Curse of Osiris is here and players are already beginning to formulate new favorite weapons and game metas for use in the Crucible, but the clear victor out of all of those competing are those gamers wielding the Prometheus Lens.

Many a Destiny 2 fan will be getting the new Curse of Osiris expansion that has released and with it the chance to get the exotic rifle Prometheus Lens. These VEX like things will appear after the first Warp Gate is shut down, and will continuously spawn.

If you want to see just how bad the Solar-based weapon treats your sweet can, in Curse of Osiris, here's a clip from iBLINKtv's Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris stream. "Fires a solar trace beam that generates a damaging heat field that grows while the weapon continues to fire", the gun's description reads. This ensures that those who hold the trigger for longer do more damage, while any kills earned with the weapon return a fraction of its magazine back to the gun, meaning that the player can keep on firing at more enemies.

Looks like some Destiny 2 players have been on the not-so-fun receiving end of an overpowered trace rifle.

It's an issue Bungie is aware of and it will be addressed soon.
