Buhari Arrives Kano On Working Visit

He was received by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State and the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II.

President Muhammadu Buhari is now in Kano State on a two-day working visit.

A mammoth crowd was also at the airport and along the major streets in the metropolis, giving the president a rousing welcome.

In perhaps one of the weirdest achievements to be flaunted by any government in the country, the presidency on Wednesday announced that President Buhari has commissioned the release of 500 prisoners in Kano.

This he says is part of the Federal Government's efforts to decongest prisons.
