Airtel partners with Intex offers 4G smartphones

Airtel has partnered with Intex to roll out affordable 4G smartphones in India. The telecom operator very recently partnered with another homegrown smartphone maker - Karbonn to launch A1 Indian and the A41 Power for Rs 1,799 and Rs 1,849 - "effectively at the price of a feature phone". If a customer fails to recharge continuously or won't be able to make recharges worth Rs 3,000 in the first 18 months, they won't receive the cashback.

The upfront payment for the Aqua Lions Ni is Rs 3149.

The Intex Aqua A4 comes at an effective price of Rs 1999 (compared to a market price of Rs 4999). The cashback of Rs 1,500 will bring the effective price of the phone to Rs 1,649.

The new Aqua LIONS N1 will be available to Airtel customers at an effective price of just Rs. 1,649 while its market price is Rs. 3,799. The phone packs 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.

After 18 months, the customer will get a cash refund of Rs 500 and another Rs 1,000 after the completion of 36 months, taking the total cash benefit to Rs 1,500.

In case, if a customer does not wish to opt for the Rs 169 bundled plan, she/he has the flexibility of doing recharges of any denomination and validity as per individual requirements. It is backed by a 1750mAh battery and is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM. Offering an external storage support up to 64GB, it has a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front facing snapper. It has 8 GB internal storage which is expandable up to 128 GB via the microSD card slot.

The partnership is another milestone in Airtel's "Mera Pehla 4G Smartphone" initiative. Similarly, the Intex Aqua A3 comes with an MRP of 6,649 and an MOP of Rs 5,879.

The Intex Aqua A4 gets a 4-inch display, Android 7.0 Nougat, a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and a 1,750mAh battery. Airtel has already partnered with Karbonn Mobiles and Celkon to sell low-priced 4G devices. Running on Android 7.0 Nougat, the smartphone is powered by a slightly more powerful 1.3GHz MTK processor along with 1GB of RAM. Lastly, the Intex Aqua S3 features a 5-inch full HD IPS Display of 1080x1920p resolution. Users can access all apps on Google Play Store, including YouTube, Facebook and WhatsApp on the devices. All the three smartphones also come preloaded with the MyAirtel App, Airtel TV, and Wynk Music to offer a great self-serve and content experience to customers.
