Mi Power Bank 2i 10000mAh & 20000mAh Launched In India - Made in India

The company has launched two power banks made in India - Mi Power Bank 2i with 20,000 mAh and 10,000 mAh capacity.

The 10,000 mAh Xiaomi Mi Power Bank 2i comes with two USB Type-A and a Type-C port.

Coming to functionality now, the Xiaomi Mi Power Bank 2i comes with a conversion rate of 85%.

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has announced the setup of its third manufacturing unit in India in partnership with Hipad Technology in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. They have single-port Quick Charge 3.0 support, high-density lithium polymer batteries inside dual (5.1V/ 3.6A) USB output feature, which means users can charge two devices simultaneously or extend your power to others in need.

Launched in India in 2014, Xiaomi is now amongst the top player in Indian smartphone space.

Hipad Technology's manufacturing unit is a dedicated Power Bank facility for Xiaomi and is spread across 2.3 lakh square feet.

The 10,000 mAh Mi Power Bank 2i is priced at Rs 799 in India and accompanies anodised aluminium body, and 85 percent transformation rate, which implies a real limit of 6500 mAh. Both the new models will go on sale through Mi.com and Mi Home Stores starting November 23 noon. "Our eventual aim is to manufacture components for the Power Bank like the shell, PCB circuit in India", Manu Kumar Jain, Xiaomi India Managing Director said in an interaction with members of the media. The Mi Power Bank 2i will also be available for buying from Amazon India, Flipkart and physical retail stores across the country from December.

To overcome the issue of counterfeit models, Xiaomi has started using a hologram and security code that helps customers identify the genuine models among the mix.

There is no major difference between the Mi Power Bank 2 and Mi Power Bank 2i except the face that the 2i is made in India at plant situated in Nodia which can produce 7 power banks per minute. You can know the approximate charge in the power bank with the four indicator lights. The starting production capacity for the facility is almost 7 Power Banks per minute during its operational hours. Currently, the facility has over 500 employees, which will ramp up in the future.
