Taylor Swift's Reputation album sold 1.05 million copies in the US over its first four days of release, according to initial sales reports to Nielsen Music.

Her previous opening week high came courtesy 2014's "1989", which sold 1.287 million U.S. copies in its first week. Swift is now the only act to have four million-selling weeks, since Nielsen Music began electronically tracking music sales in 1991.

Swift announced the first round of US dates for her "Reputation" tour on Monday morning.

"Reputation", her first studio album in three years, marked another transformation for Swift with songs marked by vengeance that take aim at the media and some of her haters.
