'Notch remover' app fixes the iPhone X's ugliest design element

Over the weekend, developer Axiem Systems released an app on the App Store called Notch Remover.

Apple constructed one of the most attractive smartphones ever made in the iPhone X, but there is one glaring gap in its design, literally.

In any instance, the app does give those with a dislike for the notch on their brand new iPhone X a free remedy, aside from returning their smartphone to Apple for a refund. It won't change the way that apps function or the way that videos look on your iPhone X, but if you're desperate to see less of the notch, it's probably your best option at the moment.

Apple's iPhone X comes with a notch at the top of the display, under the notch is where Apple had hidden all of the cameras and technology for their Face ID. Notcho is free to download, but all of the wallpapers you use with have a "Notcho" watermark on them unless you pay $1.99 to have it removed via in-app purchase.

Obviously, it is impossible to remove the notch via software.

If you're interested, the Notch Remover is now available on the AppStore and it will cost you RM3.90.
