If Sanjay Leela Bhansali's video on Thursday was not enough, now the production house Bhansali productions has sent a letter to the National President of Akhand Rajput Seva Sangh clarifying that the film Padmavati does not malign the honour of the Rajput community.

Andhare was quoted as saying, "We are screening the film to CBFC as per established procedure and convention followed in the industry".

A bench of three judges Chief Justice Dipak Misra and Justices A M Khanwilkar and D Y Chandrachu said to the petitioner that CBFC have sufficient guidelines to grant certificate for films.

The movie, slated to release on December 1, ran into controversy over its plot, with some right wing outfits calling it an absolutely wrong portrayal of the Rajput queen. Well, right now the movie is battling a controversy as the Karni Sena threatens that they would not let this movie release if the story is inappropriate, the issue is being politicalized by the politicians. "The sad part is that the film is getting free pre-release publicity, and that a commercial and inauthentic venture like this is using my family's name". Rajasthan government is planning to set up a committee to watch the film before letting it release. Sanjay has personally assured in a video that the film celebrates the Queen and Rajput valour, dignity and traditions. It will only be decided after watching the film.
