Sony revealed this year's PlayStation 4 Black Friday deals through an official PlayStation blog post, and announced that the offers will last for an extended period starting Nov. 19, through to Black Friday on Nov. 24, and until Cyber Monday on Nov. 27.

With Black Friday 2017 marching ever closer, plenty of individual retailers like Target and Walmart have revealed their upcoming gaming deals, and now Sony itself has unveiled some deals that should be available across nearly all retailers.

PlayStation Plus subscribers will be to start buying games at discounts of up to 40 percent off on November 17.

PS Plus members will get exclusive deals in the PSN store Black Friday sale starting on November 17th. While it doesn't seem like the standalone headset will be discounted further, the deals on bundles featuring cameras and controllers should more than makeup for it. This includes the recently announced PlayStation VR Gran Turismo Sport Bundle at $299.99 USD (MSRP) and PlayStation VR Skyrim VR Bundle at $349.99 USD (MSRP).

Is this your cue to embrace PlayStation VR? Both deals are great prices compared to current retail listings, even if the standalone headset deal isn't. The good news is that the PlayStation Store isn't going to sell out of downloads, so that's going to be an easy sale to shop.

Those who want to grab some DualShock 4 controllers will be able to do so for $39.99. And for those curious, it looks like discounts for the PlayStation 4 Pro will be rare if they exist at all. Sony will release more details on the sale over the coming days, including the games that will participate.

With the holiday season hitting real soon, Sony is prepping it's PlayStation hardware for the big sale.

The sale pricing will begin on November 21 if you're not a PlayStation Plus member. Costco has a fantastic deal on the Xbox One S and PS 4 Slim.
