Steve Kerr Would Vote Gregg Popovich for President

So it might not come as a surprise that Kerr believes Popovich would make for a good US president.

"I truly would vote for Pop".

If Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich ever decides to run for president of the United States, he knows he has at least one vote secured, that of Warriors head coach Steve Kerr.

Popovich's popularity as a potential presidential candidate has continued to rise in recent months as the legendary coach has repeatedly offered his opinion on the current political landscape, including chastising Donald Trump and his administration. They do not agree with Trump's policies either, including his travel-ban targeting Muslim-majority countries, his vulgar criticism for NFL players that have protested racial inequality during the national anthem and how he has handled uninviting the Warriors for a customary White House visit after winning the 2017 NBA championship. "All jokes aside. I would vote for him", Kerr said Wednesday, according to ESPN.

"Honesty and integrity", Kerr said of Popovich. He said it would be "fantastic to see". Well, unless he has a dramatic change of heart and chose to switch from the sports world to politics, he won't be the latest person to make the transition.

49ers WR out for season with neck injury
Earlier this week, the 49ers traded for quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo but have set no date for when he could enter the lineup. Garcon suffered the injury late in the second quarter of the 49ers' 33-10 loss to the Eagles Sunday.

For Warriors coach Steve Kerr, the goal is not to have players miss games altogether, but manage their minute when possible.

"This man in the Oval Office is a soulless coward who thinks that he can only become large by belittling others".

Popovich and Kerr's history goes back further than meeting in the coaching ranks.

Kerr played for Popovich during the NBA title runs of 1999 and 2003, and has a long relationship with the 68-year-old revered basketball voice.

The Spurs and Warriors tip off at 7 p.m. on Thursday from the AT&T Center.
