Gaining another Gaines? Not so fast!

As optimists, we've spent the last month searching for the silver lining in Chip and Joanna Gaines's decision to end Fixer Upper.

The "Fixer Upper" stars announced in late September that their hit HGTV show is ending after season 5. "That our marriage is on the rocks ..."

"Look, I'll give them a little credence", Chip said of speculation before asserting, "The most important thing in the world is Jo and I's relationship, followed very quickly by these four handsome kids [of ours]". I was pregnant. Its amusing when you start hearing this stuff.

"It would have to be a show where it would be me, just all by myself-that could be a thing that I would interested", he told E! "For me, I've always thought I'd rather be missed than somebody get exhausted of us".

As with previous seasons, the couple will continue to help the citizens of Waco, Texas, renovate "fixer uppers" into their dream homes. "For us, the most important thing in the world is Jo and I's relationship, followed very quickly by these four attractive kids [of ours]. We wanted to take a step back and focus on what is absolutely the most important thing to us", Chip said on the Today show.

"We're the healthiest we've ever been". "We laid it all on the field and didn't hold anything back". I just didn't want to keep pushing this envelope to the fullest extent.
