Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has said that he could not believe it when Chelsea sold Nemanja Matic to Manchester United during the summer.

Tonight the former England midfielders were working as pundits, alongside another former Red Devil Rio Ferdinand, for BT Sport ahead of United's Champions League clash at Benfica.

Matic has played every minute of United's Premier League and Champions League campaigns this season.

A lot of people on social media reckoned that Scholes was dying to laugh at his colleague's failure to lift the Premier League, and he did seem to smirk when Gerrard mentioned that he didn't win the title.

Hamas rejects U.S. envoy's demand to recognize Israel
Greenblatt has been shuttling through the region in search of a formula to restart Israeli-Palestinian peace talks. Israel imposed a tight blockade on the Gaza Strip and the quartet imposed an embargo on Hamas movement.

"They've played in teams who have won leagues and in really exciting teams", Gerrard explained, "but for someone who hasn't won the league I see it more as clever management and tactically spot on if they go on to win it". "He's very leggy, he's good in the air, he competes, he always gets a toe in, he can run and match your runs".

"He can run, he's very aggressive with the ball and without the ball, he can burst past you with it and he can catch you. I hope not, ' and then it happened".

Few better understand the intensity of the rivalry between Manchester United and Liverpool than Paul Scholes.

No player across the United squad has completed more passes than Matic so far this season (466), while he's also top for tackles won (10) and completed take-ons (16) in the top flight of English football.
