"Let's Make a Deal" host Monty Hall passes away at 96

Monty Hall, the original host of the long-running TV game show, "Let's Make a Deal", has died. Variety.com said he died of heart failure.

"He was the greatest father on the planet. he was the dad who called every single night to see how your day was and never exhausted of hearing the details".

"He's making it his show", Hall said of Brady in a 2013 interview.

The Hall family moved to NY from Canada in May of 1956, and in early 1960s, they moved to Los Angeles, where Hall co-created "Let's Make a Deal" with producer Stefan Hatos in 1963, according to Gleason's website. Contestants would vie for the chance to see if they would win the big prize or the booby prize "behind door No. 3".
