Barcelona's La Liga Game Against Las Palmas Has Been Called Off

It seems that on the back of the violence enveloping the Catalunya independence vote, a vote that has been declared illegal by the Spanish government, the safety of those attending the game can not be guaranteed. Las Palmas now sit in 15th place on the La Liga table, collecting just six points from their first six games.

Ernesto Valverde's side, who edged out Sporting in the Champions League by a single goal in Lisbon on Wednesday, will look to make it seven out of seven in the Primera Division ahead of the forthcoming global break. Barcelona has scored 20 goals and conceded just two in their first six league fixtures but will be without forward Ousmane Dembele for up to four months due to a thigh injury. As for the Spanish examples, so after the defeat of Girona with a score of 0: 3 in the past weekend, the winning series reached the mark of 6 matches.
