Iranian interpreter defends Trump speech omissions

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said on Wednesday at the UN General Assembly that Trump's recent anti-Iran speech was "ignorant and spiteful".

Rouhani said Iran is seeking peace and won't be the first to leave the nuclear deal.

UN Resolution 2231, written by the USA delegation in 2015, sets forth the UN Security Council's plan of action to monitor Iran's commitments to the nuclear deal, legally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). And she also said that there was a general sense in the room that there are so many other crises around the world, including North Korea, that the worldwide community can't afford to dismantle an agreement that's working.

"I don't think this Iran deal, this nuclear deal with Iran, is (the be-all and end-all) of everything to do with Iran".

He said that at the meeting there was "a good opportunity to meet, shake hands" and "the tone was very matter-of-fact, there was no yelling". Tillerson and Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif were scheduled to meet in NY on Wednesday.

The Trump administration has desperately sought a pretext to scrap or weaken the 2015 deal and get rid of the limits the deal imposes on the United States ability to pursue more hostile policies against Iran.

The Gators converted two fourth downs to keep the drive alive - a fourth-and-three from the 40 and a fourth-and-one from the 21. It was a great first half for Stephen Johnson as he had 100 passing yards, two touchdowns and only four incomplete passes.

Portugal Masters: Marc Warren two shots behind leader
Pepperell has never before had back-to-back top-five finishes on Tour, which have sent him climbing to 75th in the rankings. The triple major victor is on eight under. "It's been a rough year for me so to be in contention again feels really good".

"I have decided", Trump told reporters three times this morning as he met with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.

"The Iran deal and United States law are two separate things", Haley added.

He said since the deal was struck Iran has continued to "prop up" the Assad regime and its "horrible way" in which it has brought violence to its own people and accused it of continuing to engage in "malicious" cyber activity.

Brian Hook, the State Department director of policy planning, confirmed to the Journal that while Trump has decided on a course of action on the deal, "we are still working on a comprehensive plan to address the non-nuclear aspects of Iran's behavior". The global community's fear is that this kind of talk from Trump may lead not to Pyongyang giving up its nuclear program in the face of the military threat, but rather steeling its determination not to abandon it.

But neither Rouhani's speech nor Trump's will "make much difference in the long run on the survival" of the nuclear deal, said Handjani.

It'd be nice if they'd react positively to his call for the UN to do what it was founded to do - defend the sovereignty, security and prosperity of all peaceful countries and stand together against rogue nations like North Korea and Iran. He also emphasized that he would not tolerate nations that would supply arms and financially support North Korea.
