On the three years of Mann Ki Baat, Modi said people have been at the centre of the radio programme and it succeeded in connecting directly with the people because of the involvement shown by the people of the country. "It has become a platform where people from across the nation share constructive views, express their views and concerns", Modi said.

On the last Sunday each month Prime Minister address the nation through "Mann ki Baat" which is made available on All India Radio and Doordarshan along with live stream on the YouTube channels of the Prime Minister's Office and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

I've witnessed that every Indian wants to do something for the development of society and country.

The PM also spoke about widespread support for Swachhata Hi Seva movement and thanked the media for the support in furthering message of cleanliness. Through their efforts they've brought about a positive change.

He also appreciated Swati Mahadik, widow of Colonel Santosh Mahadik, and Nidhi Dubey, widow of Naik Mukesh Dubey, who recently joined the Army to serve the country.

"I have tried to remain connected with you, with a stable mind, instead of getting swayed by the heat, anger that may prevail at a particular time", he said.
