Trump asserted that North Korea's reckless pursuit of nuclear weapons threatens entire world with huge loss of human life. The reason for the delay is unclear, it said. The fact that the North Korean dictator wrote his own response suggests that Trump's speech at the United Nations affected him greatly.

"It could be the most powerful detonation of an H-bomb in the Pacific", he said, according to Yonhap News Agency. North Korea's dictator, taking his cue from America's president, has made it a decidedly personal matter.

Put aside for a moment the name-calling - "Rocket Man" from Donald Trump earlier this week, "mentally deranged U.S. dotard" from Kim Jong Un in comments released Friday.

In a speech last week at the United Nations, Trump had issued the warning of potential obliteration and mocked the North's young autocrat as a "Rocket Man" on a "suicide mission".

Trump had earlier threatened Pyongyang with "fire and fury". "If they did, it would be condemned by everyone - the Chinese and the Russians would be just as upset as the United States". "That would highlight the fact that the existential threat to the USA, is real", he said.

"If not possible now, it would be certainly be possible within months or a year", Tahk said. Either accept a nuclear armed North Korea and threaten them with annihilation should they use those weapons, or launch a war now, and prevent them from using those weapons in the future.

"We are engaging with North Korea's most important supporters; economic supporters; their friends, China and Russian Federation, to have them also engage with Kim Jong Un on this issue", he said.
